wow your sculptures are amazing and they look better than originals of pokemon. the paint end is so soft it looks nearly like airbrushing. what i wonder about, you say its porcelain, how are those made? i have no clue of working with porcelain ll i see around is sculpey clay
Thanks for your comment Actually Cold porcelain isn't porcelain but a material made from corn starch and white glue XD It doesn't needs baking to dry hard. It's kind of tricky too use and it doesn't accept too much detail like sculpey does, but with experience you can get great results when modeling.
oh i think i maybe have similar stuff which is also drying on air , but since what i used before has a strange consistence and is very gluey, i didnt get along too well with it.. sculpy is heaven against. sadly i cant buy sculpey anywhere here, i tested out many other things but in the end i found one little shop that shiped and sold super sculpey for an acceptable price in germany. i got a big amount nform offer and im happy now D: if i could just find my wire again! duh xD
i know what you mean, its hard to get and hard to paint xD what i did now is actually.. i accidently burned my sculpey,it went all black, so i first overpainted it with white. so you already got a rough bright shape, then i started to paint other colors after it was dry. it works well but they dont stick too good i guess it needs at least a second shape mostly the paint must be quite thick with no water. sinc ei use cheap acrylics its still ok. i cant get sculpey clay here as well btu there is a little shop in berlin i can order from, the shipping prices are acceptable and if i order much the price is quite good nearly storeprice where they are available
Great! I can get sculpey only from ebay, it almost double the price with shipping -_- BTW the best type of acrylics I´ve tried on sculpey are the ones for modeling, like tamiya or model masters. But the same story, I can get them easily here, and tamiya only works with an airbrush
